SBS S.p.A. protects your privacy

Thank you for having visited the SBS website.

Privacy policies of the website www.sbs-power.it
SBS is committed to protecting and safeguarding your privacy on-line. We recommend you read this document and the disclosure in accordance with Art. 13 of the Personal Data Protection Code (Italian Legislative Decree no. 196/2003) for more information.
The privacy policy has been established by SBS on the basis of national and international provisions and laws. This document highlights our great commitment to protecting your privacy.

Collection of information
The information collected on the sbs-power website comes into the following two categories: "Information enabling personal identification" and "Information that does not enable personal identification":

Information enabling personal identification
Generally speaking, information on the whole sbs-power website can be consulted in a completely anonymous form. When a user visits part of the website that requires the collection of personal data, he is always first presented with a specific disclosure in this respect and, if necessary, the user is asked for his consent. The personal data that is collected when the user uses the website include the name, address, telephone number, e-mail address and other specific data in relation to the services required.

Information that does not enable personal identification
This information is not able to specifically identify the user. The servers of SBS automatically collect anonymous information relating to the Uniform Resource Locator ("URL") of the website from which the user originates, which pages of the website have been visited, what the next URL is that the user visited, which browser was used to reach the website, the visitor's Internet Protocol ("IP") address and information on cookies.

Use of cookies and web beacons
What are Cookies?
A cookie is a small quantity of data, often contained in a single, anonymous identification code, which is sent to your browser from a web server and which is subsequently saved onto the hard disk of your computer. The cookie is then re-read and recognised only by the website that sent it, each time a subsequent connection is established. As part of the customised services for its users, SBS uses cookies to save and sometimes keep track of preferences and personal data supplied by the users. We would remind you that the browser is the software that enables you to navigate the internet quickly by means of the display and transfer of data onto the hard disk of your computer. If the preferences of your browser are set up to accept cookies, any website can send its cookies to your browser, however - in order to protect your privacy - it can only, exclusively detect those sent by the website itself and not those instead sent to your browser by other websites.

Alternative cookie settings
You can configure your browser to accept all cookies, refuse all cookies or be notified when cookies are sent. Each family of browsers has its own specific settings, so always remember to consult the "Help" section of your browser for more information on how to change your preferences. The websites below provide information on the most commonly used browsers and how to set them up with regards to cookies:
•    Microsoft Internet Explorer
•    Netscape Navigator (English)
•    Mozilla Firefox (English)
Most SBS services do not entail the acceptance of cookies.

How SBS uses cookies
SBS normally uses cookies to:
•    keep track of sessions;
•    avoid re-proposing opinion polls or pop-up windows (smaller windows that appear on top of other windows already open, generally containing advertising messages) to those who have already viewed the document;
•    anonymously count responses by internet users to any promotions running.
SBS avoids using cookies to store personal data on the service user's computer: information of this type is withheld in company databases and, if necessary, only seen by the client within the sessions in which the user has identified himself.

Web Beacons
Web beacons are part of the website instrumentation that allows for the determination, for example, if a page has been visited or not and, if so, how many times. When you ask for information on a promotion or for a newsletter to be sent, we can use web beacons to establish how many of the e-mails are actually opened. Generally speaking, any electronic image starting from the web page, including an advertising banner, can act as a web beacon.

How data can be amended or deleted and your position preferences (account).
You can in any case always request that your account with the SBS assistance services be deleted, by contacting SBS S.p.A. - Customer Services, via circonvallazione s/n, 28010 Miasino, telephone +39 0322 980909.

Amendments to this privacy policy
This document presents the principles applied by SBS with regards to privacy and the collection and processing of the personal data supplied by users in relation to the various different products and services. The contents of the document may alter in the future when SBS should add or delete options or characteristics of its services and products, or when SBS should use new contents suppliers.
